Run Don’t Walk, Proud Camden, S90 at a gig again

Normally, I wouldn’t blog a mate’s husband’s band but in this case I’m going to make an exception for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, I’d gone armed only with the S90 and given the limitations, like to get f/2.0 you need to be wide at 24mm equivalent, it performed as well as can be expected. This pic was at ISO640 even. I think in future the girls in the front row, if that work out how to use their cameras, are going to be producing some decent shots.

Secondly, and most importantly, was how Kabir had shaken up the band in my six months away. They had a much, much fatter sound and rocked out mightily. There’s still work to do mind. For a start, they need styling: converses, jeans and t-shirts don’t make for visual interest. Then mostly, Kabir needs to decide what he is: singer, guitarist or keyboard player. Pick one and stick with it. I vote for stripping the band down to a 3-piece, giving the bass some effects that give it some top end and working from there. But what do I know? :)
