Canon S90 Taipei Street Night

I lied about the “final call”

Continuing the experiments with “out of the camera” black and white, I took the Canon S90 P&S, rather than the Nikon D300 DSLR, out tonight preset in black and white and we did a quick in and out of Shi-Da for food. Quick because of the rain. So, these are some of the pictures.

Observations: there’s a tendency to overexpose: some of the brights are totally blown out. Also, the images are way less contrasty than those from the D300. These have been tweaked in iPhoto to be more useful.

What do you reckon? Is in-camera B/W a useful feature?
